Why You Should Get AAA Roadside and Not Use your Auto Insurance Roadside.

Tow Truck

AAA membership is great membership, regardless if your car is new or old.

Every auto insurance carrier offers some type of Towing & Labor Coverage. Towing and labor cost coverage is an optional coverage that you can add to your auto insurance policy to help with the cost associated with roadside issues, such as towing, lockout assistance, gas delivery, jump start or tire changes. In order to use your towing and labor coverage, you must be in the vehicle the auto insurance company insures.

Conversely, as long as you have the AAA card on you, it doesn't matter what car you are driving or in. This makes a AAA membership a great gift idea for new teen drivers or any family member or loved one.

The best part is, AAA Towing does not show up as a claim on your auto insurance. When you go through your auto insurance for roadside assistance, there is a good chance that tow is going to show up as a claim. Your current auto insurance carrier may not count it against you, but when you get quotes with other carriers, the tow will show up as a claim and effect your auto insurance rate.

Hope this helps!
